As the alpine capital of hot air ballooning, Château-d’Œx near Gstaad in the Vaudois Alps has been welcoming balloons from around the world for over 40 years now. The colourful festival takes place over 9 days from January 21 - 29 and includes night shows, balloon flights, and sporting competitions.
