Rodwell House

Cape Town, South Africa

Rodwell house is truly a sea lover's promised land. Housed in a 1930s mansion, its marble columns, antique furniture, roaring fires and unimaginable wine cellar make it your cosiest (but also most opulent) home away from home. With secluded tidal rock pools, marine biologists are on call to reveal the secrets of the sea in private tours. Find yourself marooned in a seaside wonderland. Defining luxury seaside escapes in Cape Town is the five-star Rodwell House. Situated in the sun-drenched village of St James, it lies between the Kalk Bay Mountains and False Bay. It's an area world famous for whale-watching, warm sea bathing and a sheltered Mediterranean climate, and the eight suites have been positioned to present the sea from all its angles. With over 600 different choices of international and South African wines, the cellar might just be the place to start, before working your way up each boutique floor to your own private hideaway.
