Martinis Marchi

Šolta, Croatia

The castle in which both the hotel and restaurant are housed, was originally built by the Marchi brothers in the early 18th century to help protect the Split mainland and islands from pirate attacks as well as to develop a community to work the land. It has now been returned to its former glory under the watchful guidance of local Croatian heritage architects and advisors.
