L' Albereta Relais

Erbusco, Lombardy, Italy

Hidden in a lush canopy of vine leaves, L'Albereta is a secret waiting to be discovered. Encircled by lakes and golf courses, and offerring billiard and drawing rooms, transport yourself to a time of opulence to become the king and queen of your own private slice of italian history. Bellavista, or “beautiful view”, is the name of the hill upon which stands L’Albereta Relais, a charming hotel where the fascination and flavours of ancient tradition live on. As the name suggests, the view from the hill is unmatched, looking out over the centuries-old park and vineyards and extending as far as Lake Iseo and the Alpine foothills. L'Albereta is a luxury hotel that seamlessly blends modern creature comforts with carefully preserved historical elements. Each room & suite retains its original exposed wooden beams, fireplaces and and marble finishings, but are fitted with hydromassage tubs or jacuzzis.

Local guide

Worth getting out of bed for

  • Head out for a unique day trip to the three islands on Lakes Iseo (S. Paolo, Loreto and Montisola). The hotel can arrange a private motorboat, and give you the option of stopping for lunch or dinner on Monte Isola. Explore the islands by foot or by bike, and if you prefer, pack a picnic to watch the sunset over the glassy water

When to go

  • July/August is high season where you can expect temperatures of up to 32 degrees. However autumn can be stunning, when the snaking vines turn to golds and reds

Don't miss

  • L'Albereta offers an extensive (and we mean extensive) range of guided tours for their guests. Visit Brescia, Bergamo, Verona, Garda Lake and Milan, or the abbeys and castles of the Franciacorta region. Especially noteworthy is the Monastero of San Pietro in Lamosa, with the nearby Torbiere del Sebino nature preserve. Tours are also offered in a variety of languages

How to get there

  • The closest airport is Bergamo Orio al Serio (33km) but there are a range of others within taxi distance, including Montichiari (45), or Verona Valerio Catullo (83km). If coming by train, Rovato station is a mere 7kms away, and Brecia 15km. The hotel also has its own helipad for those urgent visits
