Hotel guide

  • 26, including 16 suites and spacious lofts

Our Favorite

  • The Loft Suites have charming views over Marylebone’s Chiltern Street or the mews. The rooms are flooded with natural light and carefully crafted secondary glazing details. Most Loft Suites have one or two fireplaces, separate dressing areas and walk-in wardrobes. All have spacious seating and working areas. King beds are dressed with custom linens and 400 thread count sheets. The bathrooms have freestanding pewter bathtubs with dedicated reading lamps and & walk-in showe

Wine & Dine

  • The Firehouse restaurant – nightly scene of celebrity one-upmanship – is a brasserie meets Victorian factory affair, with a gleaming, brass-bolted extract hood, beneath which Nuno Mendes' many-handed army turns out restrained Mediterranean-flavoured menus (those crab donuts; monkfish cooked over pine, chargrilled Iberico pork)

Local guide

Worth getting out of bed for

  • A short stroll from Marylebone's stylish shops and elegant eateries, Chiltern Firehouse is perfectly located. Needless to say, there's plenty to do, see and explore in this prime setting of London

Good to know

  • The restaurant is the latest offering from hotel magnate André Balazs, who owns the glamorous Chateau Marmont in Hollywood and the Mercer hotel in the Big Apple. Originally one of London’s first purpose-built fire stations, the Grade II listed gothic Victorian building has been transformed by Balazs into a swanky New York-style brasserie with high ceilings, hanging light fittings, large mirrors and a busy open kitchen. Guests are greeted by attractive top-hatted doormen and escorted through a pretty garden courtyard to their tables

When to go

  • The hotel is open all year round
