Worth getting out of bed for

  • There are plenty of activities such as Hiking in the Merano Mountains, Nordic Walking (approx. 100 km), Mountain biking (3000 km of trails) or Helicopter tours in the Dolomites. Wine tastings, Vineyard & cheese tours, private guided hikes and Paragliding. The Golf Clubs Lana and Passeier are in the immediate area

  • Merano is a real Eldorado of shops and shopping. Exclusive boutiques and chain stores, renowned clothing shops stand cheek by jowl with book shops, jewellers and delicatessens

When to go there

  • It's an all year destination but we recommend the beautiful south tyrolean summer from June till September

How to get there

  • Fly to Bolzano (25km), Innsbruck (140 km) or Verona (170 km)
  • By train: the Destination is Meran/Merano. Easy accessible from Austria and Germany
  • By car: Arrival via the Brenner motorway - exit Bolzano south - MeBo dual carriageway towards Merano - exit Merano south or arrival via the Passo di Rescia - exit Merano South: Follow the road towards Merano and after about 1.5 km turn off to the right towards Merano 2000. After exactly 2.5 km you will reach a junction sign-posted 'Labers'. Turn right over the little bridge and follow the panoramic mountain road for 5 km to Castel Fragsburg
