Local guide

Worth getting out of bed for

  • A trip to famous and nearby Lech am Arlberg. We can recommend following restaurants:
  • Rud-Alpe for Kaiserschmarrn and Germknödel, Schlegelkopf Piste, Lech
  • Schneggarei, puristic cottage for après ski, Schlegelkopf valley station, Lech

Ski Paradies

  • The Arlberg, with its 340km of pistes (which unlike some other regions does not have to resort to treble counting!) and 200km of powder runs is one of the most varied ski regions in the world

When to go

  • Snow is virtually guaranteed at the Arlberg. The resort has an average of 7 metres of snowfall every winter. So any time between December and April is fine

How to get there

  • Zurich is 2 hours away, Innsbruck is less well-serviced, but is only 90 minutes away. Friedrichshafen and Altenrhein can be opened for private jets and are 80 and 70 minutes away. Concierge can arrange for your transfer from the airport
  • Arlberg Express: To and from Zurich Airport at a price of € 50,00 one way and € 80,00 roundtrip
  • By train: The closest station is St. Anton. It is regularly serviced by fast trains from both Zurich and Vienna. The Chalet is a five minute drive
  • By car: Winter tyres and snow chains are a must if you arrive by car. A road tax (vignette) is obligatory
